Business System Transformation Analyst
The following are high level requirements for the role:
- 5+ Years of Experience in Business & System Analysis Related to Technology Transformation
- Strong Understanding of Business Processes & Requirements, System Mapping, Gap Analysis etc.
- Background in Retail, Point of Sale (POS) or Supply Chain Management (Preferred)
Responsibilities:
- Lead the migration of users in retail stores to modern retail technology platforms
- Interface with a multitude of internal and external stakeholders with primary responsibility to work with end-users and user groups to adopt new systems and reporting
- Pair with a data analyst/engineer and supported by the larger business and technology organization for the full transformation of a retail store. This includes the launch of the migration, assessment, requirements, mapping, test plan, cut over, and several weeks/months of support before turned over to the enterprise support organizations
- Work together with program/project managers to develop migration plans and provide status and communication to the larger organization
- Work with business users, become an expert in business process and information/data, and comfortable leading customer through change (workshops, training, etc.)
- Self-starter, excel at learning new systems and unique customer environments, comfortable working with enterprise functions, well-organized, and are an effective communicator
- Problem-solver with deep analytical skills and are enjoy supporting business teams in the use and understanding of data and reporting solutions, and are an expert at soliciting, analyzing, and modeling/mapping data requirements
- Comfortable working in a dynamic environment and managing through unexpected and unplanned activities. At the same time, you identify and implement process and solution efficiencies to achieve higher quality and scale
- Full lifecycle software/application deployment and adoption from legacy systems to new systems
- Map current business process and rules to future state systems and identify gaps for large-scale adoption
- Analyze business processes and data, recommending process improvements, and providing implementation paths for technology adoption
- Work across enterprise organizations to include business users, external technology providers, application development, and IT and help desk support organizations
- Ability to lead business users through adoption of new applications using multiple approaches including workshop facilitation. Providing knowledge transfer as necessary
- Develop and implement readiness assessment, data conversion, quality assurance, and deployment coordination
- Successfully understanding and become an expert in Customers business and unique culture.
Experience:
- 5+ years working as Business Analyst or Systems Analyst with experience implementing and converting business users to new applications. Previous experience working as an external or internal consultant is important for this role.
- Ability to communicate complex solution concepts, analyses in simple terms.
- Demonstrated customer focus, with the ability to develop solutions through the eyes of the customer, build strong customer relationships, and be the customer advocate.
- Ability to actively generates process improvements.
- Must be able to understand varying business rules, work with various data formats, and follow procedures to monitor data quality.
- Experience in creating business requirements such as data flow modeling, use case analysis, workflow analysis, functional decomposition analysis, and object modeling.
- Experience providing production support including analysis and resolution of incidents.
- Experience in SDLC Methodologies, Agile, SCRUM, SDLC / Waterfall.
- Experience working as the liaison between the business and technology functions.
- Strong oral and written communication skills (Fluent English).
- Proficiency using Microsoft Project and Office Suite.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS) or related field
