Senior Hosting Architect

Responsibilities: 

  • Design for Windows Server 2008/2012/2016 and related Active Directory infrastructure.
  • Install, configure and manage VMware vSphere & VOl environment.
  • Configure VMware Distributed Resource Scheduling, high availability and fault tolerance.
  • Install, configure and manage virtual hosts within the cloud.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for all relevant support-related processes and procedures including, but not limited to, updating systems and application technical standards, installation notes, and support procedures.
  • Operate and maintain all integrated systems to support mission operations.
  • Expected to comply with all client regulatory policies and work rules.

Experience: 

  • 7-10 years of previous Windows, Linux and VMware system administration, trouble-shooting and design experience in a datacenter environment that includes on-prem and co-lo hosting services.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Information Technology, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • VM Ware Windows certification (MCSA) or MCSE cloud platform and infrastructure Linux certifications (RHCE), MCSE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure preferred.
  • Must have strong understanding of Active Directory, Domain Name System (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) and Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
  • Proven track record of successful enterprise server migrations/consolidations/upgrades.
  • Ability to analyze and automate existing processes and implement an automation framework.
  • Expert knowledge of MS Azure, VMWare VCP or VCA certification for VMWare 5 or 6.
  • Familiarity with RedHat Linux or UNIX desired Experience with methodologies such as agile and ITIL desired.
  • This is a full-time position that provides Level 2 & 3 support, for a 24 x 7 production environment, for all operational and outage issues relating to the infrastructure.
  • Must be willing and able to work overtime/outside of normal schedule to restore the technical infrastructure to full functionality in the event of an unplanned outage
  • Experience installing, configuring, operating and maintaining hardware and software that uses the Windows operating system within a VMware ESXi production environment.
  • Demonstrate Windows server troubleshooting skills in an internetworked Enterprise environment.
  • Experience with hardening operating systems.
  • Experience working on a modern virtualized network
  • Public cloud hosting experience desired but not require
