Manager, Infrastructure & Networking

Responsibilities: 

  • Manages, schedules, plans, and coordinates team assignments, budgets, projects and services.
  • Oversees implementation of new hardware/software technology as designed by business units.
  • Ensures that corporate, departmental, and team standards and processes are utilized and improvements are implemented to enhance performance of the team.
  • Establishes and manages metrics for productivity of teams
  • Establishes goals and provides clear direction while distributing workloads in an organized manner.
  • Concentrates on desired outcomes and initiates action while holding self and others accountable for performance and results.
  • Recognizes problems, identifies root causes of issues, and responds timely and appropriately.
  • Develops talent, applies clear and consistent performance standards, and handles performance problems decisively and objectively.
  • Researches and gathers information to initiate and make informed decisions.
  • Identifies key stakeholders and communicates decisions.

  • Proven experience in developing and building relationships with IT and with senior level executives
  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently with shifting priorities and multiple constraints
  • Excellent problem solver with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to travel is required by car or airplane

Experience: 

  • 7+ Years of Infrastructure (Systems & Network) experience in an enterprise environment
  • Background Supervising technical staff including Network and System Administrators and Engineers
  • Position requires in depth knowledge of IT infrastructure & networking methodologies, life cycles, strong communication, and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated progressive increase in responsibilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field; equivalent experience
  • Previous experience managing technical teams of two or more is required
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7, 10
    • Knowledge of Microsoft stack
    • Knowledge of Hyper-Converged architecture (Nutanix Preferred)
    • Knowledge of SD-WAN architecture
    • Knowledge of LAN / WAN connectivity
    • Understanding of ITIL methodology
