Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy application features in cloud-native environments (OpenShift/Kubernetes) with an emphasis on scalability and resilience
- Implement solutions leveraging IBM Hyper Protect, Cloud HSM, and IBM Security Verify to ensure data protection, identity management, and compliance
- Manage images and repositories with Red Hat Quay; embed security checks into the CI/CD workflow
- Partner with security and operations teams to integrate application logs into IBM QRadar SIEM/SOAR; contribute to detection, response, and resolution of security/performance issues
- Work closely with architects, security engineers, and platform teams to deliver enterprise-grade solutions that integrate seamlessly with IBM Z and LinuxONE environments
- Contribute to technical documentation, follow the best development practices, and ensure compliance with enterprise policies
Experience:
- 5 years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in cloud-native or containerized application development
- Hands-on experience with Red Hat, Kubernetes, or other Linux based platforms (390 based a plus)
- Proficiency in Python, Node.js, and C
- Hands-on experience with containerized application deployment and development
- Familiarity with Tekton Pipelines and Red Hat Quay for CI/CD and image management
- Understanding of security concepts including on prem and cloud – Preferred
- Exposure to enterprise monitoring and security tools – Preferred
- Awareness of IBM LinuxONE and IBM Z environments and their role in enterprise systems – Preferred
- Experience integrating applications with hybrid cloud or regulated enterprise environments – Preferred
- Knowledge of DevSecOps practices, test-driven development, and automated testing frameworks – Preferred
