Responsibilities:
- Oversee lifecycle management for all server and storage infrastructure architecture, solution strategies and support
- Work closely with software development team(s) to create IT infrastructure strategies, lead the migration to new technologies, and address ongoing operations and infrastructure needs throughout the firm
- Define operational requirements for new technology implementations and communicate them to key stakeholders
- Oversee and participate in server and other hardware/software installations and replacements including virtualization and testing coordination
- Be accountable for the vendor relationships with service providers and technology manufacturers and ensure compliance with related SLA or scorecard measures
- Work closely with software development team(s) to ensure underlying architecture is sufficient
- Oversee technical resources responsible for 24 x 7 data center operations
- Support organizations information security posture by providing clear direction and consideration of security controls, in the data processing infrastructure and computing network(s)
- Implementing business continuity and disaster recovery plans
- Maintain strict confidence and discretion
- Time/stress management – ability to effectively juggle multiple priorities from a variety of sources in a hurried professional fashion
Experience:
- 5 – 10 Years of Progressive Leadership Experience in Information Technology (i.e. Development Manager, IT Operations Manager, Infrastructure Engineering Management Experience, Process Information Officer etc.)
- Strong Understanding of Product Development Fundamentals
- Strong Understanding of Data Center Fundamentals (SSAE-16, ITIL etc.)
- Broad knowledge of data center and infrastructure technologies with specific experience in Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server, VMware, Cisco, Citrix, Synology, Veeam and HPE
- Experience Leading Teams Ranging from 6-20+ Direct & Indirect Reports
- Bachelor’s degree in computer-related field or equivalent combination of education and related work experience
- Experience standing up, administering and maintaining a High Availability Data Center Qualifications
- Great project management skills, including organization, planning, time management and prioritization
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, decision-making skills and excellent attention to detail
- Good communication, including writing, speaking, and active listening
- Strong Data Center technology background with co-located and on-premise systems
- Time & Attendance or Human Resource Management System/Software Experience (Preferred)
